About
Five musicians, different backgrounds and one shared desire to create something of their own. What started as Alexandra Căpitănescu’s musical journey became a band built on connection, contrast and the way different ideas can come together to create something new.

Vocals
The band's lead singer and songwriter. A winner of The Voice of Romania, she combines her passion for music with a strong interest in science and creativity.
Hello, everyone! I am Alexandra, and I am the lead singer of the band.
I do not remember the exact moment I started singing, but I know for sure that my parents introduced me to the world of music when I was two or three years old. My mother would play children's songs and Michael Jackson's music for me. For as long as I can remember, I grew up with the mindset that I would be a singer and have a career in the music industry.
After years of vocal training, I won The Voice of Romania at the age of 20, and that is also when I founded the Alexandra Căpitănescu band. Working with Matei, Bogdan, Luca, and Thomas, I have started to develop even more, and our compositions evolve from month to month. My favorite artists are Michael Jackson, Queen, Lady Gaga, BMTH, and Sleep Token, and I try to learn something from each of them.
However, my focus is to find my own voice through the songs I write. Besides music, my great passions are history and science. I graduated from the Faculty of Physics, and I am currently continuing my studies in this field. One day, I hope to contribute to the advancement of medical research. Both as a musician and as a researcher, you have to be creative, and through your creations, you must be able to contribute to the well-being of the people around you.

Guitar“Bog”
The band's guitarist, into rock and heavier music since childhood. He has been playing alongside Luca for years and helps shape the band's sound and identity.
Hey there! My name is Bogdan and I am the guitar player of the band. I was into music ever since I was a kid. I was raised on classic rock music by my parents and then discovering some of the more heavy genres. By the age of ten I started playing guitar, joining a band not even 6 months after I had started taking lessons. That’s where I met Luca, and we have played together ever since.
We have formed this project in 2024, when we just clicked instantly as a group. After meeting Alexandra and the guys, it was clear that we could create a cool musical identity together. It was only a matter of time. I think finding the right people who share your interests and goals is a very important part of the journey. Apart from music, when there is enough time for this, I enjoy video games, sports and beer.

Bass“Mefiu”
The band's bassist, composer and producer. Self-taught on several instruments, he loves blending genres and creating new sounds.
Hi, my name is Matei, the bassist of the band. Since I was very young, music was all around me. My mother used to play music from all existing genres in our house. She used to sing to me the songs we'd listen to together.
That was the way she taught me how to speak from the day I was born. When I was a toddler, she used music to help me pronounce the words better. Music was a part of me from the start, but I didn’t feel I had a special relationship with music until I first touched a guitar and then a piano. I started teaching myself to play those instruments, along with bass and music as a whole. Throughout the years I played instruments in shows, joined bands, gave music and bass lessons.
In 2022 I met Alexandra for the first time and supported her work ever since. After she won The Voice of Romania, it was clear what her project needed, and so, in early 2024, we formed the band. We could immediately feel it was something special, because we instantly clicked as a group. Even though we were very different individuals, our ideas merged perfectly to create something new. And that experience shaped us in a positive way.
My favorite part of music is creation. I compose and produce music and I love bringing genres together.

Keys“Tom”
Classically trained from the age of six, Thomas brings a world that stretches from Rachmaninoff and Liszt to jazz, R&B, soul and pop. To him, music is a universal language.
Hello! I’m Thomas, “my piano man” - in Alexandra’s words. I come from a family of musicians, which meant that I grew up surrounded by music. I have been studying classical piano since I was 6 and I finished the “George Enescu” music high school in Bucharest. After Alexandra won The Voice, she decided to form a band and she found, one by one, every band member. The only one that was missing was a keyboard player. Coincidentally, my mother is Alexandra’s vocal coach, so the invitation came naturally. She called me one evening and told me: “Wouldn’t you like to be part of Alexandra’s band?” Of course I refused. I only had the experience of solo playing on stage. I had never played in a band. After my refusal, she added me to the WhatsApp group and told me that we were going in a teambuilding in three days. The rest is history.
I listen to many musical genres and I’m inspired by many people, from classical music - S. Rachmaninoff și F. Liszt (they were my childhood) - to jazz, Jacob Collier, Jazmine Sullivan - to soul, musical, pop, movie soundtracks, gaming music. Of course that, after I joined the band, I was indoctrinated with metal.
Music, for me, is a universal language, a force that unites and rejoices us all.

Drums
The band's drummer, inspired by video game soundtracks and modern metal. Also a visual artist, he helps shape the band's visual identity.
I’m Luca, the drummer of the band. My love for music started with video games, ever since I was little. Whenever I sat down and played my favorite games in the living room with my parents, the music was 50% of the magic. I just didn’t know it yet. Only with age did I start paying attention to the soundtracks of those games, and that’s when i fell in love with music for the first time. Being able to digest and understand the meaning of a song got me to where I am now.
Soundtracks were a big inspiration for me. It got me into music, starting with guitar in preschool, and ending with drums a year later, at the age of 6. Can’t remember what got me into drumming in the first place. It actually frustrated me at first. After a year or so of studying, I decided to leave drumming behind. I tried picking up guitar again, even bass, but no other instrument gave me the fulfilment that the drums managed to give me. Whatever I did, drumming always called me back, so I complied. And it was the best decision I could have ever made. My mother always knew that drums made me the happiest, so I’m thankful she decided to give me the push I needed to get back into it. She knew me better than I did back then. I wouldn’t be here now without her undying support.
I started taking lessons again, got into a band at my mother’s request to my teacher. Played with various kids alike, and one of them happened to be Bogdan, the guitarist. We started bonding, and ever since then, we’ve been playing together even cross-project. He’s basically the only guitarist I’ve played with since I met him at the age of 12.
A few years later, I stopped taking lessons after winning various competitions and gigs were starting to busy my schedule. Now I’m building my professional career alongside people who also want to live this magic for the rest of their lives. Meeting Alexandra, Matei and Thomas was the mold to a greater chapter of my life, eventually getting to meet and bond with the amazing team we have now.
My main inspirations started after listening to Polyphia for the first time. Back then I didn’t know music genres existed, so hearing 40oz for the first time was like something finally clicked inside my brain. Something I had been unknowingly waiting to hear. That’s how I got into the modern metal scene, with Sleep Token, Thornhill, Spiritbox, Animals as Leaders and many more. They formed me into the person I am today and greatly influenced my drumming. I love music that knows how to blend punch and intensity with feeling and grace, and I’m looking to create music that makes people feel hope. That’s why my connection with everyone in the band is special. We complete each other, and we’re all equal.
Outside of music, I am a visual artist and a student at UnARTE, the National University of Arts from Bucharest. A skill I decided to use to create and influence the band’s image with posters, logos, aesthetics, besides the band’s sound.
The sound is still evolving. So are the people creating it. With every song, every stage and every new idea, the story keeps taking shape.
